+Question: How do I Download / Become a DJ?
Answer: Download the SHOUTcast Radio DSP Plug-in for Winamp, Install, Connect

+Question: How Do I Listen / Tune-In?
Answer: Click Listen or Tune-In links, requires that you have your desired listening program already installed.
Recommended: Winamp (free)

+Question: Can I Listen With Windows Media Player?
Answer: Yes, you can enter the URL manually or to enable Windows Media Player to automatically play .pls files for Tune-In buttons on websites follow these instructions:
1. Install "Open PLS in WMP" program from http://www.codeplex.com/openplsinwmp (version 2.3 or newer)
Note: downloaded program will install into C:\Program Files\OpenPlsInWMP by default
2. After installation, Save a .pls file to your computer by "Save Target As" on any Tune-in button
3. Open Folder and right click the .pls file and select "Open With > Choose Program"
4. Browse to C:\Program Files\OpenPlsInWMP and select OpenPlsInWMP.exe
5. Press "Always Use" and OK
Now you can tune in from websites using Windows Media Player


+Question: Why is AutoDJ MP3 stopping?
Answer: Check your AutoDJ logs for errors or warnings and remove the tracks causing them.

+Question: How Do I Combine/Relay Servers Together For 1 Large Radio?
Answer: Simple. On your main station configure the shoutcast server to have Allow Relay enabled.
Then, on your secondary servers configure them to have a Relay IP and Relay Port equal to that of the main station.
By default the size of the main station will increase by adding all the listener slots of relay servers. This happens automatically upon starting up relay servers.
Note: relay server takes up 1 spot on the main station and is a constant stream 24/7 unless turned off


+Question: Can I Control All My Servers From Here?
Answer: Yes. Simply login first before placing an order and the ordering form will recognize you as Existing Customer and perform an Add Server to your existing account.


+Question: Are There Any Bandwidth Restrictions or Overage Charges?
Answer: No. We will never charge you for overages. Use however much bandwidth you need.



+Question: What's The First Step?
Answer: The First Step is to either DJ connect yourself to the server or start configuring AutoDJ to do the work for you.
AutoDJ you want to first create PlayLists of SoundTracks.
The sound files you upload should be atleast 128 Bitrate. (44100 Hz) mp3 files.
Once you have a playlist set for AutoDJ simply Start it and then you can Tune-In to your own station.


+Question: How Do I List My Station?
Answer: Your station is already listed. This happens automatically at shoutcast.com when your shoutcast server is turned on.

+Question: Is There a License Included?
Answer: No. Licenses should be obtained individually by the DJ or AutoDJ owner.
Some types of broadcasting do not require a license.
Be legal. If you are in a Country that requires a music license for internet broadcasting then you will need to obtain one.


+Question: Can I Have Multiple DJ's?
Answer: Yes. You can have as many DJ's as you like.
Simply share the DJ password with them.


+Question: How do I upload FTP?
Answer: FTP is your station's IP address. (no matter what port you are hosted on)
The same username,password as your control panel will get you logged into FTP.
Upload your files, and add them to your Soundtracks page from the cpanel when you want to add them to any Playlist for AutoDJ.



+Question: Can I Play Songs Instantly to my station?
Answer: Yes, to play any song instantly click "PLAY NOW" from your Media Library.
This fades into the song of your choice, set the fade timer in your AutoDJ Configuration page.


+Question: Can I Stream Different Bitrates?
Answer: Yes. Streaming different bitrates is fine, and creating playlists of different bitrates also.


+Question: Can I Pay Monthly?
Answer: Yes. You can also pay every 3 months, or 6 months (1 month free) or 12 months (2 months free). Optional subscription or manual payments.


+Question: Can I Upgrade?
Answer: Yes. Upgrading is instant from your ClientArea. Both bitrate and slots upgrades are available.


+Question: How do I make a live talk show/use microphone and how?
Answer: Download the SHOUTcast Radio DSP Plug-in for Winamp

With the DSP open > Input tab > Input Device > Soundcard Input > Mic Input > Microphone


+Question: What is AutoDJ 2 AAC?
Answer: AutoDJ2 is an improved AutoDJ with new features, although it will only output AAC+ where as AutoDJ does mp3. You can use one or the other for your station, give AutoDJ2 a try if you don't have a need for a flash web player.


+Question: Why is the title not updated in AutoDJ 2 AAC?
Answer: Use only normal alphabet and numbers as a password for the shoutcast and autoDJ2 AAC configuration.

Related: When the shoutcast password contains ASCII or some characters such as ( % . & / " ' @ ) sc_trans unable to send the metadata and this causes song title update(you hear the music but song title is empty) + song history.

Answer: The software used for converting files and streaming NSV format for Shoutcast TV is NSVTOOLS and can be found on http://www.nullsoft.com/nsv/


+Question: Why are web players not working with my station?
Answer: Depending on the player used, the following issues are known,

-Windows Media Player doesn't show in Mozilla Firefox.
-Intro track causes player issues such as player is frozen or has glitches.
-AAC+ stream format is not supported in flash players.
